Description
In 1963 two modified versions of the Aston DB4GT were raced by the factory team with the designation DP214. The two cars were entered in a number of races that year. In 1964 both were sold to John Dawnay of Dawnay Racing Team.
This is car #27 as driven by the British team of Brian Hetreed and Chris Kerrison in the Daytona 2,000 km race in 1964. The car finished 17th overall and 9th in class. Subsequently, and sadly, Hetreed suffered a fatal accident during practice at Nurburgring and the car was scrapped.
