Mimodels - a division of the Magic Image
History: Founded in 1979, the Magic Image has been supplying fine model automobile models to discerning collectors around the world for over 30 years. For the first 20 years, we operated two retail locations in the Toronto, Canada area until our move to our current premises in 1999. We now operate solely on a mail order basis and therefore cannot offer pick up facilities for purchases. Our inventory is almost exclusively 1:43 scale, both handbuilt and diecast, including many unique models we have commissioned from various manufacturers in Europe and the UK.

*LATEST NEWS* We now have in stock the AC ACECA handbuilt models, again from a brand new master. There are fourteen versions from our first batch with others planned. Pictures and pricing will be posted in the mimodels section under the Manufacturers drop down menu as soon as possible.
*NOW in STOCK* the BEART RODGER CLIMAX Stirling Moss handbuilt models, our first model with new master made with a 3-D laser printer. There are two versions, the car as driven on debut by Moss in April 1955 at Goodwood in unpainted polished aluminium finish, and as driven in May at Silverstone after the car was painted Ford Ludlow Green. *AUSTIN HEALEY NEWS* We now have in stock the AUSTIN HEALEY 100-Six Streamliner handbuilt models produced from a completely new master. There are three different castings, eight versions in all including 1956 Bonneville Record and 1957 Sebring race cars, and other competition versions including one driven by Stirling Moss at Nassau in 1956. *ASTON MARTIN NEWS* We now have in stock the excellent early ASTON MARTIN DB2 handbuilt models produced from the superb TIN WIZARD kits. We now have all the 1949 & 1950 Le Mans & Spa 24 hour racers, plus Targa Florio and various British international race cars. Please see Aston Martin Specials category for pictures and pricing.
*RECENT ARRIVALS* More versions of the FRAZER NASH Le Mans Replica are here. There are three different road cars, the never made before 1953 Le Mans #40 model, and a slightly revised 1952 Sebring winner. These are in addition to the ten previous models from a new master. *other ASTON MARTIN NEWS* After a long wait, the model of the DB7 V8 that ran in practice at Le Mans in 1995 has finally become a reality. This is probably our finest and most detailed model ever. The first two batches sold out very quickly, and we will not be able to restock this model until later this year. By customer request we have also made the road version of this car. Please email us if you wish to see more pictures or to reserve one of either from our next production run.
EXCLUSIVE MODELS: our most recent batch of exclusive JAGUAR D type models are now listed here. We have produced every D type that ran at Le Mans between 1954 and 1959, plus the Ecurie Ecosse #518 from the 1957 Mille Miglia. Please see the Jaguar Specials category for pricing and current stock of these handbuilt white metal models.
We have also commissioned a number of ASTON MARTIN competition cars, mostly Le Mans and Mille Miglia versions, although there are a number of lesser known races represented as well. Most of these have never been produced before. You will find them in the Aston Martin Specials category.
We have also produced some exclusive AUSTIN HEALEY models in both road and competition versions which have not been produced before to the best of our knowledge. These are modifications of the very fine K&R castings, enhanced with photoetched wheels and other details. Again, please see the Austin Healey Specials category for pricing and current stock.
Web catalog: finally we have started to get our stock posted onto the web. Currently, there is only a very small percentage of our extensive inventory shown, but we will keep adding to it on a regular basis, so please check back in with us later. With the exception of models that are exclusive to mimodels, everything shown on the site is in our current inventory and available for sale. We show our own models that are temporarily out of stock and you may reserve one from our next production batch. This also allows us to plan our production schedule. Any questions, please email us.
